Inspiration

One of the most mesmerizing journeys can begin simply by watching a sunset.

There is something about those colors that slowly change before us. We can gaze at them without feeling our eyes hurt, while our minds begin to imagine places, shapes, and possibilities that go far beyond what is in front of us.

This piece was born from imagining a bud that grows right in front of a sunset and, every day, stops to contemplate it. It watches intently until it gets lost in it.

But as it watches the sun, its imagination goes further. It begins to wonder how big the universe really is and what could exist beyond what our eyes can see.

The sunset then becomes a kind of portal: an everyday moment that, when observed with enough attention, can lead you to think about something much bigger than yourself.
