Californian Orange (also known by its AKAs in English as "California Orange", "Cali Orange" or simply "Cali-O") is an old-school hybrid strain (50% indica / 50% sativa) that stands out for its iconic and pungent citrus flavor and balanced effects.

It emerged in Northern California in the early 1980s and was globally popularized after being refined by historic seed banks in the Netherlands such as Dutch Passion.

🍊 Appearance, Aroma, and Flavor

  • Appearance: It develops dense, vibrant forest-green buds, but what really stands out is its massive amount of bright orange pistils (hairs). When mature, the plant literally appears to be covered in orange fire.
  • Aroma and Flavor: True to its name, it's a fruity explosion. It smells and tastes exactly like fresh oranges, tangerines, and citrus zest, with a slightly sweet, floral undertone and a hint of spicy hash on the exhale.
